Health Guardians
The Health Guardians app began as a participatory surveillance tool developed by the Ministry of Health in 2007 to monitor large-scale events in Brazil. It was used during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and, in 2016, at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
