ProEpi is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of training and supporting professionals committed to health surveillance, aiming to build a network dedicated to public health.

About Us

ProEpi, the Brazilian Association of Field Epidemiology Professionals, brings together people committed to public health and encourages the exchange of ideas and professional development among them. We offer professional content on our distance learning platform, news curation, in-person training, and facilitate national and international job opportunities. We also respond to emergencies around the world. Professionals from our network have already been deployed on missions to countries such as Angola, Bangladesh, and South Africa.

In addition to the audience trained with our educational content, we have gathered more than 17,000 followers on Facebook and impact around 170,000 people weekly with our news curation.

Our Achievements

Our distance learning materials have already reached more than 3,000 people across Brazil and partner countries such as Mozambique, Paraguay and Chile. Dozens of training sessions have covered the most relevant topics for public health professionals, such as risk communication and outbreak investigation.

OUR VISION

To build a global network working towards health security and public health improvement by strengthening the capacity of professionals working in various areas of health surveillance. We see them as strategic and essential actors for epidemiological intelligence, providing them with a cooperation platform, access to opportunities, and continuing education for skill development.

How It All Started

Our Network began in 2014, and since then, we have been committed to developing and strengthening the capacities of health professionals around the world. To date, we have developed more than 34 courses, reaching nearly 25,000 professionals from 28 countries and around 3,000 cities across Brazil.
